The short version
Some outbound links on antiquecostume.com are affiliate links. When you click one and buy something on the destination site, we may receive a small commission. The price you pay does not change. We never recommend something purely because it pays us.
This is required by the US Federal Trade Commission (16 CFR §255). It is also fair to you.
Affiliate relationships
- eBay Partner Network. Vintage clothing search links to eBay use our partner ID. eBay pays a percentage of buyer purchases within 24 hours of an outbound click.
- Etsy (via Awin). Search links to Etsy go through Awin, the affiliate network Etsy uses. Awin tracks the click and pays a commission on completed purchases.
- Vestiaire Collective (via Awin). Designer vintage links to Vestiaire route through Awin on the same model.
- Amazon Associates (vintage-fashion reference books). Book recommendations on designer pages use Amazon's affiliate programme.
Every affiliate link on the site carries rel="sponsored" per Google's Webmaster Guidelines.
What we do not accept
- Paid placements within editorial content. Designer pages are not for sale.
- Sponsored attribution. We do not change a designer's market range because a seller asked.
- "Best of" listicles that take money to add or remove names.
- Cookie-based retargeting on our own visitors beyond the analytics needed to run the site.
